Private 2-Day Shanghai and Suzhou Trip by High Speed Train from Beijing

Day 1 Beijing-Shanghai

Your private guide will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to railway station for early morning high-speed train to Shanghai (2nd class seat).

Upon arrival, you will be met by a local guide in Shanghai and taken for a quick lunch. Your first visit is to the Yuyuan Garden, an extensive Chinese garden located in the center of Shanghai's old city by the City God Temple. You’ll also enjoy some free shopping time at the old town bazaar, a maze of small streets and alleyways where vendors sell their wares and food to the visiting tourist and locals. Afterwards, you will visit the French concession area and the trendy Xintiandi where you could have your own choices of dinner.

Your are then transferred to a 4-star hotel to check in and enjoy a relaxing evening. Alternatively, you will have chance to either enjoy a night cruise along Huangpu River to view the amazing buildings on both sides of the river, or enjoy the stunning ERA acrobatic show.

Day 2 Suzhou-Beijing

Check out hotel this morning, you will start early with your private guide to the Bund, where you will see locals to do morning exercise such as Taichi, fan dance, or even backward walk…At the waterfront, you will also be able to enjoy the amazing view of skyscrapers on the other side of huangpu River - Pudong.

You will then continue to railway station for your bullet train to Suzhou. Upon arrival, your private guide will take you to visit the largest classical garden in Suzhou – Garden of Humble Administrator, a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design in which art, nature, and ideas are integrated perfectly to create ensembles of great beauty and peaceful harmony.

Afterwards, you will visit a silk spinning factory, where you will observe the whole process of how a silk cocoon turn out to be smooth silky fabric.

You will end your Suzhou tour by walking with your guide to the back lanes of city along canals that covers the whole city and links the major attractions.

Your train back to Beijing is around 6 pm and the train ride takes about 5 hours. You are picked up at railway station in Beijing and transferred to your own accommodation.
