Day 1: Beijing - Xi'an (Lunch & Dinner)
You are picked up from your hotel or residence in downtown Beijing and transferred to railway station for high-speed train to Xi’an
(First Class Soft seats).
Based in Shaanxi Province, Xi’an is considered to have played a decisive role in the history of China. Previously the administrative hub of the ancient Silk Road, it was once the world’s most populous city.
Upon arrival, your Xi’an guide will meet you and take you directly for lunch-paomo, a local Muslim specialty of flat bread soaked in lamb or beef soup. After lunch we'll start a city tour. Your first stop is Xi’an Museum, which is located by Small Wild Goose Pagoda and covers an area of 245 hectares. It was officially opened to the public in May 2007 and collectively reflects the long history of Xi’an city.
You will then move on to the old town, visit the Ming City Wall to enjoy some peaceful time out on the City Wall and take in bird's eye views of the ancient capital. The Ancient City Wall dates back to the 7th century and is one of the oldest fortified walls in China. You will take a stroll along the bustling Muslim Street and experience its colorful stalls and cuisine.
Your dinner today is a dumpling banquet served at the most popular De Fa Chang Restaurant in Muslim quarter.
After dinner, transfer to check in Wyndham Grand Xi'an South (Deluxe Room) which is the first luxury hotel under direct management of Wyndham Group in China.
