About this activity
First, you will be picked up from your hotel or a selected subway station by a guide who will have your name written down. You can also take a taxi to the location which is in front of the Drum Tower.

Once you arrive at the local house, the owner will start teaching you how to cook Chinese food, about 3 to 6 different dishes. You start to learn from the first step of cooking: chop food materials in a Chinese way. You will also get the chance to learn dumpling making, noodle making, all step by step. The owner might prepare different cooking material based on seasonality. Your private tour guide will help you to translate so you will master every secret of Chinese cooking. If you have any questions there, just feel free to ask. Our owner and local guide are very friendly and eager to show you the essence of Chinese cooking.

Sit down and dine in all food made during the cooking class and sip a cup of Chinese tea. Soft drinks are available for purchase at your own expense.

The tour will take approximately 3.5 - 4.5 hours. We will help you to take taxi or subway back to hotel.

Had a great time making the dumplings. Our host also showed us how to cook fried rice, chicken with peppers and lotus roots. We enjoyed a real Chinese feast the first night of our trip. Only drawback was that the hosts home was a little further to walk to than expected. However, we did some sightseeing on the way and saw some interesting sights.
