About this activity
Meet your guide at 8:00am and drive approximately 1.5 hours to the Ancient Badaling Great Wall.
It is located in Yanqing district and about 75 kilometers away from Beijing.
Unlike the famous Badaling Great Wall, it is much less crowded, with very little restoration, and you'll have chance to walk along the wall and take in the spectacular views. Before you leave, learn more about the ongoing restoration work along the Badaling wall, and get involved by laying a single brick along the newest section of the wall. You will receive a certificate for your contribution to the Great Wall restoration.
Return to Beijing to enjoy a tasty Peking Roast Duck lunch at a local restaurant. Then, set out to explore the city, starting with Tiananmen Square, which has witnessed some of the most dramatic chapters of China history. From here, enter the Forbidden City, commonly called Palace Museum or Gugong by the Chinese people. It was built from 1406 and served as the imperial residence for 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties.
After your tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

I was impressed that this tour enabled us to experience four of Beijing's most known sites in one day without feeling rushed or cheated. We had a great time learning about each of the sites, enjoying some free time to explore, and getting to know our tour guide. It was obvious that they would go out of our way to make sure our experience was spectacular.
