Private Tour: Ancient Badaling, Summer Palace, and Lunch

Meet your guide at 8:30 a.m. in your hotel lobby and drive about 1.5 hours to visit the Ancient Badaling Great Wall. It is located in Yanqing district, about 46 miles (75 kilometers) from Beijing. Unlike the famous Badaling Great Wall, it is much less crowded and more original with little restoration. It used to function as the west gate of the defense system of the Badaling Great Wall. This section of the Wall is also closely associated with the peasant uprising leader Li Zicheng, who breached this part of the Wall and overthrew the Ming Dynasty in 1644. Besides hiking on the Wall here, you have the opportunity to plant a tree at the foot of the Great Wall.

Continue driving to the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden and palace where the emperors used to spend their summers. You will go up the Tower of Buddhist Incense, which is the best location to overlook the entire beautiful garden. After that, you will see some other iconic places in the Summer Palace and take an electric boat ride on Kunming Lake. Your guide will steer the boat and show you around the different places which are not reachable by most of tourists.
Your Huaiyang cuisine lunch will be served in a local restaurant with beautiful traditional Chinese decor, and you surely will love it.
After tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel by your private vehicle.
