This was our first day in China. Anson was amazing and very accommodating. Always had cold water waiting for us after every stop. And he took us to one of the best lunch we have EVER had. Because of Anson, and his stories, this was the best day for us in China.
Seeing the great wall was an exceptional experience and lunch at a local restaurant was very good. Our guide, Albert, was wonderful. I would give him the highest rating. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Albert spoke excellent English, and was able to discuss Chinese culture along with facts about the various sites. He seemed to enjoy his job and catered to our desires. We preferred to maximize our time at the great wall and hike a portion of the wall so Albert ensured that we had plenty of time at the great wall. The private tour bypassed the jewelry and other shops so we could focus on what we wanted to see. If you are not interested in the tourist shops, I would choose a private tour.
