We really enjoyed the show! The performers did a great job, however the process of obtaining our tickets at the venue and finding an usher to locate our seats were truly exasperating.
There were many diff forms of martial arts. My favorite was the weapons act. Very impressive, even incorporated children who were also pretty good! The theater seemed to allow outside drinks so you can bring your own beer.
Excellent. The pick-up of tickets was excellent. Be warned - taxis are not simple to find in Beijing especially when it's been raining! - we arrived at the theatre with minutes to spare but our contact was patiently waiting and easy to spot. The show itself is breathtaking, right from the very opening scene. The show is all in English so it is easy to follow. Some of the moves are absolutely incredible. Nice story as well - good mixture of energy and emotion. I loved it and would recommend going. Great way to spend an evening.
I had seen this show about 4 years ago and again it did not disappoint. The show has the same great storyline with lots of new and improved artistic elements. Our family of four really enjoyed the show. Although it was past bedtime my 5 year old was wide awake and riveted throughout the show. I would recommend this show to anyone looking for an evening out in Beijing.
The show as good and very impressive, but the opening was all in Chinese and we had no clue what was being said.
This was a nice show with superior feats of martial arts. The performers worked really hard. The show venue was more like a local small theater. We bought some reasonable priced souvenirs. One problem with the Red Theater is transportation leaving. We took a cab to the theater which was cheap and efficient. Leaving however was not. The cabs outside the theater tried to charge us a lot more for a normal cab ride. To help you out of this situation just walk right as you exit the theater past the crooks in the cab line. Walk for a little under ten minutes to a main busy street.I forgot the name of the street but it is the first busy street and you'll be able to see it while you walk. Be patient. Once you get to the busy street there is a McDonalds to the right maybe 70 yards. In front of the McDonalds cabs can be flagged down and their prices are normal.
