Mini-Group Highlights Day Trip to Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven

You will be picked up at hotel lobby at 8:00am - 8:30am in downtown Beijing (within 4th ring road) by your assigned English speaking tour guide. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will be ready for you to explore Beijing.

You will start your day trip by visiting Tian'anmen Square, the world’s largest public square. Explore the sites around the square with opportunities to take some amazing pictures. Then, venture northward to the Tian’anmen Rostrum guarded by the enormous and portrait of Mao for all to see and what has universally been photographed all over the world.

Next, heading to the magnificent Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in the world. You’ll spend a couple of hours wandering around this amazing example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace. The whole morning tour will be around 2-3 hours. 

Enjoy a tasty lunch by your tour guide recommended in a authentic Chinese restaurant.

After lunch, you will visit Temple of Heaven, it is an imperial complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. Be amazed by the exquisite architecture, see the 15th-century Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, and admire other highlights, etc.

Move on to Hongqiao Market (Pearl Market) next to Temple of Heaven, the market offers just about everything you can think of – electronics, clothes, shoes, jewelry, art, crafts, and pearls. You can also find a huge array of souvenirs you can buy (own expense) here.

You will be transferred back to your centrally located hotel at the end.
