Summer Palace and Badaling Great Wall Bus Tour

Your friendly local tour guide will pick you up from your Beijing downtown hotel lobby between 7:00 am - 8:00 am, get in a comfortable coach to start the full-day Beijing highlights trip.

You will firstly drive to explore the Summer Palace, a summer resort for the emperors in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). This is the largest and most famous imperial garden in China. The palace features hundreds of architecturally distinct buildings, halls, pavilions, pagodas, bridges and corridors dispersed among magnificent and elegant gardens. Follow your guide to enjoy the natural beauty and the grandeur of royal garden, and get an insight into the life of China’s ancient royal family. Then visit a jade carving factory to see the unique carving craft and do some shopping.

After enjoying a traditional Chinese cuisine lunch in local restaurant, move on to visit the Badaling Great Wall – the highlight of this trip. Badaling Great Wall is the best-preserved and most complete section among the various, hence the most popular, even among world leaders. Hike up on foot or take cable car (at your own expense) up to the Great Wall, walk along the ancient bricks, experience its deep-rooted culture and discover its profound history.

On the way back, stop at a tea house to enjoy the tea ceremony and learn Chinese traditional tea culture. When the tour concludes, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
