Stop At: Churches of Harissa, Harissa, Jounieh Lebanon

This little chapel is the famous place of worship and contains the statue of the Mother of the light sculptured on the Century Anniversary of the Immaculate Conception and fifty years after founding the shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in 1904.
This chapel forms the lower section of the tower upon which the statue of Our Lady of Lebanon stands.

Stop At: The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, Keserwan, Harissa Lebanon

Standing on a height of 600 m, the immense statue called Our Lady of Lebanon overlooks the Jounieh bay with arms outstretched. Built and erected during the 19th century, the statue depicts the Virgin Mary and makes a major part of a sanctuary and can be reached via cable car. Our Lady of Lebanon is considered to be the patron saint of the country and the statue itself was carved in France. She was named the Queen of Lebanon in 1908 during the inaugural mass once the construction of the Basilica was completed. Till this day, the anniversary of the statue is celebrated during the first Sunday of May. The shrine which it was built for is located about 1900 feet above sea level and the bird’s eye view it offers visitors leaves most mesmerized.
The shrine belongs to the Maronite Patriarchate who entrusted its administration to the Congregation of Maronite Lebanese Missionaries since its foundation in 1904. It is one of the most important shrines in the world honouring Mary, Mother of Jesus. The shrine is highlighted by a huge, 15-ton bronze statue. It is 8.5 m high and has a diameter of five meters. The Virgin Mary stretches her hands towards Beirut. The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon draws millions of faithful both Christians and Muslims from all over the world.

Stop At: Jeita Grotto, 20 km North of Beirut, Jitta Lebanon

Jeita Grotto is natural wonder formed over thousands of years. It is made up of two interconnected caves with karstic limestone walls that spread over an area of nine kilometers.

The grotto is split into two parts; the upper with a breathtaking view of extraordinary stone that forms curtains, columns, draperies and mushrooms at a distance of some 750m explored for 2200m, and the latter of 400m explored for almost 7800m, where you can marvel at the majestic forms of otherworldly concretions. A boat ride is offered at the lower grotto.

Stop At: Faqra Temple, Kfardebian Lebanon

Qalaat Faqra , or ruins of Faqra is an archaeological site of Lebanon , located in Kfardebian encompassing a set of ruins of the Roman and Byzantine era. The site is located on Mount Lebanon at an average altitude of 1500 m in the foothills of Mount Sannine. It is one of the most important sites in the Nahr El-Kelb Valley region, on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The ruins are divided into three sectors: the tower, the small temple and the great sanctuary. The last two sectors experienced several restorations since the xix century, while the tower has remained intact since 2.

The deities honoured at Qalaat Faqra are the topical god Zeus Beelgalasos, the goddess Atargatis and the Zeus of Heliopolis
