About this activity

The tour departs from Belgrade and leads to Manasija monastery, near Despotovac town. It was built in 15th century by Serbian ruler – despot Stefan Lazarevic. Due to its artistic, cultural and historical value, Manasija was declared Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance. The Miniature Park, the next stop on the tour, displays models of Serbian medieval monasteries, which are considered the perfect copies of the churches in reality. The tour continues to Resava cave - one of the oldest and longest caves in Serbia. This 80 million year old cave is 4,5 km long and it consists of numerous and magnificent halls, channels, galleries, columns, stalactites, stalagmites, draperies and flowstone waterfalls. The last stop is Veliki Buk waterfall, over 20 meters high. It represents one of the highest and most impressive waterfalls in Serbia, which always takes breath of thrilled visitors. Arrival to Belgrade in the evening.

Note: temperature in Resava cave is 7°C (45°F) so jacket is required. It is also required to cover shoulders and knees when entering Manasija monastery
