Private Day Tour to Sargan Eight scenic train

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel or at other place of your stay in Belgrade. The tour starts early in the morning.

Sargan Eight is a reconstructed narrow-gauge railway, which was first opened in 1925 in purpose to connect Belgrade and Adriatic Sea. Now the train Nostalgia runs only 15 km from the original track, but this distance gives tourists an unforgettable experience. First of all, the train is created in old-time style, so you can feel that old atmosphere while sitting in its authentic cars with wooden seats, smelling fume from its wood burning stove and hearing the rumble of its wheels. Nostalgia goes through 22 tunnels and makes some stops on old stations and few viewpoints, from where you can enjoy picturesque sights of Mokra Gora. The whole journey lasts about two and a half hours and ends on the departing station.

But after that we don’t stop getting an esthetic pleasure and we drive to a neighboring Kustendorf ethno village. There was nothing here except a nice sunny hill until the beginning of the century, when the famous film director Emir Kusturica noticed this perfectly located place and decided to build here a town for filming his “Life is a miracle”. Kustendorf lives the same life as any other town: here you can find streets and squares, a hotel, a restaurant, a shop, a museum, a church – in short, everything. Once a year the village hosts the annual Küstendorf Film and Music Festival and during rest of the year it takes in tourists searching for something unusual.

The last part of our tour concerns a lunch. We can offer you some places on Mokra Gora railway station or in Kustendorf, which serve superb national and world cuisine, so you can make up your mind on the spot after having seen both places. The day is coming to an end, so does our journey and we returns to Belgrade.
