About this activity
Our tour starts from your accommodation, and we head toward Western Serbia, known for its wild and untouched nature, tasty cuisine and friendly and hospitable people.

Two and a half hours ride we’ll spend enjoying the beautiful landscapes and listen to interesting stories about this part of the country.

Our first stop is the Zlatibor mountain.

The region of Zlatibor is famous for its folk architecture, native culture and traditions, wealthy and diverse ethnic heritage, its widely-renowned culinary specialties, healthy food and the balmy climate which have earned Zlatibor a reputation for its healthy air and the status of one of the most popular tourist destinations in Serbia. Here we will see Sirogojno "Old Village" open-air museum, Stopića Cave and Gostilje Waterfall.

After that, we will have a traditional lunch made of specialties of Zlatibor region. (not included).

After we have fed our eyes and souls with beauty and our stomachs with good food, we are heading back to Kraljeve Vode, the tourist center of Zlatibor mountain. Here you will have free time to explore the resort individually, or even go for a swim or a massage.

Overnight.

Tomorrow we will continue our tour by moving to the second pearl of Western Serbia - the Tara mountain.

Our first stop is the famous Sargan Eight. Unique narrow-gauge railway nowadays serves only for the amusement. During our ride, we will pass and stop on several viewpoints from which one can see fabulous views over Mokra Gora. Authentic cars with wooden seats, wood burning stove and characteristic rattling sound will take us back in 1925 when this railway was put in operation and made a connection between Belgrade and the Adriatic Sea.

After almost two and a half hour ride we are returning to the departing station from where we continue our journey to the nearby Mećavnik, or Drvengrad (Wooden City).

The famous director Emir Kusturica (two times Palme D’Or in Cannes winner) decided to build it during the shooting of his film “Life is a miracle.” He chose to convey ruined wooden chalets from the slopes of the mountain, to restore them, equip them with luxurious facilities, and to form a new settlement.

Our next stop is Bajina Bašta, a small town in the foothill of Mt. Tara.

Here, we will see the world-famous attraction, “The House on the Drina,” an isolated house made of logs on a river stone

We will have a traditional lunch made of specialties of the very famous cuisine of Western Serbia, irresistibly delicious and very piquant. (not included)

After the meal, we will head back for Belgrade where we will arrive late in the afternoon.
