Very knowledgeable tour guides. I had to buy the crocs from at the entrance due to my swim shoes not being thick enough. Have to walk on river rocks for 30mins to the cave. Bring your own reusable water bottle due to no disposable ones allowed in the area. life jacket and helmet with light provided. Food for purchase at site is very delicious and affordable.
This was the most incredible experience I've ever had!! V.I.V. Tours is the ONLY way to go!!! Feualius aka Fabulous was the most informative, passionate, sincere and genuinely honest tour guide. Once we exited the cruise port, he was there, very easy to find. He did account for the time needed to tender and not dock, so that was a relief. We had a small group of only five, and that made ALL the difference. Fab was so informative and so proud of his country, that alone made the ride to the mountains wonderful. There were a LOT of people there, and they made up very large groups. Because it was just five of us and Fabulous, our tour was personal. While everyone else was just hustle and bustle to get it over with, Fabulous took us all for a cool swim before starting out, he took us to the bat cave, let us get under the waterfalls and let the other tours pass us by while he took the time to really give us an experience. V.I.V. Tours also had the better of all the inflatable tubes (quality, look, durability)... Learned SO much, and the sites were breathtaking. Going back to see the other eight cave systems... Thank you Fabulous!!!!
The instructions on where to meet them were right on the money, when we found them we had to wait for another group from another cruise ship to arrive, but we took pictures on top of the Belize sign and drank some beers at a little bar across the street so we didn't mind. The caves were beautiful and our driver and guide Jimmy was great and very educational on everything we came across on land and while tubing. A great experience.
