Stop At: Nohoch Che'en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve, Frank Eddie Village, Cayo, Belize, Belize City Belize
37 miles up the Western Highway brings you to the Nohoch Chen Archaeological Park, your headquarters for the day. Your first activity is the ZipRider, a zip-line tour through the rainforest. The zip-line tour features an intricate harness system of pulleys on horizontal traverse cables which lets you glide 100 – 750 feet between platforms up to 120 feet high in the trees at canopy level. After being fitted into the safety harness, the next 30 – 40 minutes are spent zipping through a series of 7 zip-line runs from 10 jungle platforms – a truly unforgettable experience! Following lunch, your next adventure for the day is cave tubing. You are issued your tubes, headlights and safety gear before hiking through the rainforest to the entrance of the cave system. Once at the entrance of the caves your guides brief you on safety procedures while tubing and then it’s time for your cave tubing adventure through the ancient Maya underworld – Xibalba. Intricate crystalline formations line the cave and stalagmites and stalactites magically appear out of the darkness. On several occasion you will emerge into the sunlight only to enter into another cave system.

- For cave tubing the government managers of the park impose a height restricting. All participants must be a minimum of 4ft tall to do the tour. Those under 4ft tall are not allowed to do the cave tubing tour.

Our tour guide Joel was excellent and very knowledgeable about the jungle plants and animals. The zip lining was ok and was only a few zip lines, but fun non the less. The cave tubing was great and our guide was very helpful in showing us all the interesting points in the caves. The water was very clear and a great way to cool off in the jungle. I give this a five star rating due to our excellent guide.
