About this activity
After an early morning breakfast between 08:00 -08:30 AM, you will be picked by our driver and guide from the hotel you are staying at. The first stopover will be at the ISKCON temple, a religious place known for its beautiful paintings and Vedic exhibitions. The temple, with its serenity and calmness is sure to leave you spellbound. Do not forget to check out the artificial waterfall while you are here.

Later, you’ll be driven to the Tipu Sultan Palace, a perfect example of the Indo-Islamic architecture which will take you back in time. With walls covered in floral patterns and floors made of teakwood, the palace has earned its spot in the must-visit list and rightly so. While beautiful pillars and arches will surely attract them to you, what’s likely to steal the show is a painting of Tipu Sultan, in which he can be seen wearing the much-talked-about embellished crown. Historians believe that such was the grandeur that the British had to disassemble the said crown and then sell it further.

Thereafter, you’ll be visiting the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, where you can explore as many of 1000 species of trees, plants and flowers. Popularly known as the Red Garden, the place is not only home to an extensive flora, but also has a beautiful glasshouse, inspired by the Crystal Palace of England. While here, admire the flourishing flowerbeds and lotus pools, and see how the trees & plants from other parts of the world simply blend in and add to the beauty of this place.

After that, have your lunch at a local restaurant before the driver takes you to the Bangalore Palace, a Tudor-style architectural marvel, known for its graceful interior work. The tour only covers an external glimpse of the palace. On your way, you can also check out the High Court, Cubbon Park and the Vidha Sabha.

Later visit the highly popular Bull Temple, dedicated to Nandi, who’s believed to be a close devotee and vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva. With a height of 4.5 m and a length of 6.5 m, the Nandi idol in this temple is quite a big one and spectacular to say the least. What also makes it breathtaking is that the idol has been carved out of a single rock. You’ll also be visiting the Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple, a religious place dedicated to Lord Shiva. The four monolithic pillars that this temple has make it stand out.

After you have visited the temples, the driver will take you back to your hotel.

Note: You may visit these places in a different order, depending on the location of your hotel.
