As reference, this tour is with Unventured Expeditions and is called Treasures of Nandi Cycling Trail. The tour is structured as a way to present a story of key sites around the Nandi hills countryside. Guru and Sandish provided a captivating experience by constantly telling stories and providing historical and cultural context for the different areas we visited. This was my first time in India, so I was able to learn a lot about the culture and food of Bangalore from my guides prior to meeting up with my friends who were then surprised with my familiarity of the area. I highly recommend going on this tour as well as the other tours that Unventured offers. The tour guides really emphasize telling a story to give more context and understanding to the places touched upon during the tour. A few tips: -The tour description mentions that this is a casual biking tour that should not require intense physical activity. Note that there is an option to bike up Nandi hill and if you do choose to do so, the path is quite challenging if you are not used to biking up inclines. Nandi hill takes around an hour or so to bike up and has great views throughout the climb. Coming down the hill was extremely fun and takes around 10 minutes. -Before starting, take some time to properly learn the gears for the bicycle if you are unfamiliar with changing gears. Using the right combination of gears and adjusting properly throughout the ride will make everything easier. -Definitely try fresh coconut water, it is delicious and refreshing. -Bring lots of water and make sure you stay hydrated throughout the tour. -Put on sunscreen, you will be under the sun all day. -Look up some pottery techniques beforehand since you will get some time to play with some pottery but without instructions. -This tour is a group tour and the group size will depend on how many others sign up for the same day. I was the only participant for the tour so it was more of a private tour experience.
