Meander through lush sugarcane and paddy fields and coconut groves to reach the fabled city of Srirangapatna – set on a river island and a centre of power and urban life for over a Millenia. Marvel at an exquisite wooden palace where every inch of its interiors is covered with delicate frescoes and murals of battle scenes, floral and geometric patterns and portraits; Explore a 9th-century temple with its huge carved granite pillars, and also visit a dungeon that will send shivers down your spine!

Next, we explore a bejeweled palace, which is among the most visited sites in India and the home of one of the wealthiest person in the world in its heyday – the Maharaja of Mysore. Learn about his incredible contributions in putting this region in the global spotlight as we leisurely survey and explore the interiors of this dazzling palace.

Walk through an old market with its colourful visuals, sounds and smells! Stop over for a cup of fine filter coffee in yet another palace, which was home to the British Viceroys. And lastly, drive up a holy hill to get a birds-eye view of the glittering sights and scenic beauty of the city below before we make our way back to Bangalore.
