About this activity
We will begin the tour with the following:
- Visit a 1000 year old Hindu temple and learn of its story while also understanding Hinduism.
- Experience the Sikh temple and glimpse into this religion, where we also get to take part in the community kitchen
- Experience the cleansing ritual at a Kali temple, with the help of a lime and egg, and learn of this age old practice!
- Lets stop by for lunch where authentic South Indian meals are served on a banana leaf.
- See how clothes are washed manually in the dhobi ghat or washermans village and you could also try your hand at it.
- Lets take a peek at the first church born in the city known for its healing power during the 1880's when the city was struck with Plague
- A walk through a small scrap yard where car and bike parts are sold on the streets and stocked on rooftops.
- The local market place for shopping is close by, and you can get dropped off here if you need to do some shopping.
