Bentota is famous for being a top beach in Sri Lanka as well as for its, river cruises and water sports, mainly due to having both river and beach around the location. There are many water sports in which you can participate such as snorkeling, diving, banana boat & tube rides, wind surfing, jet ski, water skiing and etc.

Stop At: Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery, Matara Road Between posts 128km and 129km, Habaraduwa 80630 Sri Lanka

Enjoy a hands on experience to handle and release the turtles in the popular sea turtle hatchery in habaraduwa, a non-profitable organization which has been saving hundreds of thousands of sea turtles to the ocean since 1986.

Stop At: Hikkaduwa Beach, Hikkaduwa 80240 Sri Lanka

Around 60 species of hard coral have been recorded there along with over 170 species of reef fish. Large stands of cabbage-like Montipora corals and small stands of branching Acropora corals can be found, along with boulder type and encrusting corals. The reef was particularly well known for its colourful branching and table corals until 1998, when a rise in seawater temperature during an El Niño event resulted in a massive die off of corals at Hikkaduwa and throughout the Indian Ocean.

The Galle Dutch Fort is a rare historical jewel protected by dark, thick stone walls – with the endless ocean on one side. The roads inside the Galle Fort have hardly changed, like the squares on a chess board crisscrossing in regular patches. Straight and narrow lanes branch in and out inviting the visitor to a delightful walk into the 17th century.
