Bergen Panoramic Tour - From the port of Bergen

You will be met by your guide at the port of Bergen ready to commence your panoramic tour of Bergen City.
On this panoramic tour your guide will give you a great introduction to this beautiful City, telling you about the everyday life in Bergen now and in ancient times and show you the most important historical locations.
The first stop will be the famous UNESCO World Heritage site 'Bryggen', the wharf. Here we will observe the medieval wooden buildings in the Hanseatic Quarter, the 12th Century St Mary's Church and also the museums on the premises.
Next to Bryggen there is the Bergenhus Fortress area with the 12th century royal stone hall Haakon's Hall and the renaissance Rosenkrantz Tower.
Driving through the city centre we will get to see the Funicular Station, a cable car journey which takes you to the heights of Bergen with amazing views (Funicular is not included within this tour). Also within the city centre we will find the theatre, the Art Gallery, the fish and flower market the main concert hall named after the composer Edvard Grieg.
Along the harbour there will be a photo stop at the Custom House Pier, where we will have a great view of the city centre and harbour area.
During this tour we will see the characteristic hamlets from the 18th and 19th century, with pictoresque wooden houses along narrow cobblestone streets.
In the outskirts of the city we will have a view of both modern and tradtional areas, of the Norwegians Royal Family's Bergen residence and the beautiful nature that surrounds the city.

At the end of the tour those who wish to stay in the centre of Bergen can be dropped in the centre and make their own way back to the port.
