PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR: Folgefonna Glacier & Bondhus Valley from Bergen, 10 hours

You start out from Bergen city centre in the morning. We usually start this tour at 9am, and return to Bergen 5pm. From Bergen you will travel to the Hardangerfjord by road #7. This road is in itself is a tourist attraction - one of several National Tourist Routes in Norway. You will see beautiful sights along the way: mountains, lakes and waterfalls. On the way to the Hardangerfjord you will make 2 stops at 2 waterfalls: Fossen Bratte and Steinsdalsfossen. A short walking tour to each of them is a must - you simply must feel the roaring freshness and gentle and pure water drops on your face. Afterwards you pass a small town Norheimsund and cross the Hardangerfjord on a ferry. The ferry arrives at a village Jondal and from there you start the ascend to the mountains. Mesmerising views of the rugged mountain scenery will make an unforgettable impression. Arrival at the Folgefonna glacier is at around noon. Folgefonna has a ski centre operating during the summer. A glacier hike is not included - you will continue your journey toward the next destination. After a short refreshing break at the bottom of the glacier and maybe something to eat at the ski centre café, you are going to the next hightlight of the tour: down from the mountains, along the fjord, through a tunnel under a 4000 feet high mountain to the neighbouring fjord of Mauranger. From there you drive up a narrow valley - Bondhusdalen - to a secluded Bondhusvatnet lake. A short walk along the lake is in order - enjoy the tranquility of this prisine Norwegian heaven. After this stop it is time to start on your return to Bergen: down to the Maurangerfjord, back to Jondal, across the Hardangerfjord. If we have enough time, we can take a different road back to Bergen. Back in Bergen at approx. 7pm.

Car on this tour is one of our Mercedes minivans. When only 1-3 people are going on this tour, we may use our Tesla Model X. All of our cars have Passenger Transport Licence.
