CHATEAU DE COMMARQUE
Into the heart of history
At Commarque, enjoy the visit of the valley, the troglodytes, the prehistoric cave (photo and video exhibition), the fortified castle and the renovated rooms of the main building. Enjoy the medieval games and discovery games, the exhibitions and the workshops (public and school holidays only).
The entrance ticket gives access to: Free visit of the castle with booklet in 6L, guided visits (school vacations and holidays), the thematic workshops of Commarque (school vacations and holidays), games room of yesteryear, games discovery , exhibitions, cinema projections.

Immerse yourself in the bowels of the castle (opening of the lower and neolithic rooms), Looking towards the future (complete 3D valuation of the Castrum), New prehistoric presentation, Cinema screening in the lodges, Grande Nocturne every Monday (Moonday).
Useful information :
New access path reserved for pedestrians and strollers. 3 car parks (VL, disabled and bus). Access to watercourse, picnic area with large tables, souvenir shop, castrum coffee at the top, snacks, ice cream, drinks, snacks with sandwiches during July and August. Dogs allowed on leash.

Cave wall drawing: learn to draw a prehistoric animal using the natural
forms of the stone (with an excellent teacher!)
Stone sculpting: make a copy of an architectural aspect of the site to take home with you!
Medieval calligraphy: Discover it history and evolution. Learn and practice the basis of gothic Textura, Oncia or Caroline.
Medieval geometry: learn to build a keep using an old fashioned 13-knot rope.
