Frankfurt (Oder) is a German city on the Oder River, at the Polish border. It’s known for its red-brick Gothic buildings like the Town Hall, which houses part of the Museum Junge Kunst and that museum's collection of East German art. Kleist Museum is dedicated to German dramatist Heinrich von Kleist, who is also honored with a monument and the large Kleistpark.

St. Mary’s Church has stained-glass windows depicting scenes from scripture. Lennépark is a landscaped garden with ponds, fountains and an artificial waterfall. The neo-Gothic St. Gertraud Church has an elaborate organ and carved baptismal font. Near the riverfront, a 13th-century Franciscan church is home to the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Concert Hall. The Oder Bridge links Frankfurt with the Polish city of Słubice, its so-called twin city, on the eastern bank of the river.
