Market Tour and 3-course Meal with Gourmet Chef in Berlin
ABOUT THE HOST: Pete is originally from manchester but moved to berlin around 2 years ago. He spent the past 7 years working all over the world as a freelance chef. "I am lucky in the fact i get to do what i love everyday and with such variety. I have organised dinner parties in the French Alps, Ran Kitchens in Greece, Catered big parties in Germany and ran lots of successful cookery lessons."
Join Pete for this food filled afternoon, where you can be a personal chef for the day too! You will start by visiting the local markets where you can decide on a menu together, and Pete will show you how to select the best ingredients. We can also try some local delicacies before walking along the river to his apartment. Then the choice is yours, you can either cook with Pete , where he'll give you some great hints and tips along the way as you prepare the meal, or you can relax on the terrace with a glass of wine while he prepares you a delicious 3 course meal followed by cheese and biscuits.
MENU
The menu will change dependent on what we decide to buy from the markets. You can come up with a menu together or Pete can design a menu based on what ingredients you get from the markets.
The meal will comprise of a full 3 course meal, cheese and biscuits after that, wines and soft drinks.
The menu is fairly flexible and Pete can cater to families (kids food), vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, lactose free etc, upon request.
LOCATION: Neukölln is one of the most hip neighborhoods of Berlin, considered to be a hub of expats and artists, and rife with retail experiments, trendy bars and organic cafes. It is only a few minutes away from downtown Berlin by the subway, and a place with a beautiful blend of nature and cultural expression with public parks amidst the busy streets and graffiti-covered buildings.
