Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Gedenkstatte und Museum Sachsenhausen, Strasse der Nationen 22, 16515 Oranienburg, Brandenburg Germany

The Sachsenhausen-Oranienburg concentration camp situated just outside Berlin’s city limits, held over 200,000 prisoners during the Nazi reign. The camp became a school of brutality, used to train SS guards for work in other camps across Europe. It now stands as a memorial and reminder of the darkest days of Berlin's history.

Your tour starts in Berlin, where you will meet with your guide and ride to the camp outside of the city. This involves the use of public transport, so you will need to purchase an ABC day transport ticket for this tour. When you arrive, you will be able to walk through and see the different parts of the camp including the appellplatz (roll call square), the barracks, the pathology department, the Zellenbau (Gestapo prison), the extermination center, and crematorium.

At the end of the tour, you will ride back to Berlin. The full duration will be around 5.5 hours (including travel time), and food & drinks are not included on the tour.

Duration: 5 hours

Mark our guide was awesome. He is a history teacher so is very passionate and knowledgeable. Very accommodating to all our questions and made sure we all had our questions covered on the tour. It is a must if you have an interest in the war and very sad at the same time.

This is an excellent and thorough tour of the Camp. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and gave us a great idea of what the operations in the camp were like. He made the trip come 'alive' for us. Highly recommended. 6 hrs total time including travel.

This tour was amazing. I had visited this camp 4 years prior, but without the expertise of our guide, Stephen. He was great! I learned a wealth of information about this camp, and the surrounding areas. Simple tour, meeting at Starbucks at the Brandenburg Gate area, travel to the nearby S-bahn station and take that to the Camp area. make sure you have the ABC train pass, so you wont be fined if you are caught.
