Day 1: Arrival at Bhubaneshwar
As you land in Bhubaneshwar airport, our driver will pick you and drive you to the booked hotel. Have some laid-back time in the spacious and cozy hotel rooms. Get ready for sightseeing in the afternoon starting with ‘Museum of Tribal Arts and Artefacts’ showcasing interesting details about the style of living of different tribes of Odisha.
Afterwards, visit ‘Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves’, ancient 33 rock-cut caves in two adjacent hills Udaygiri (18 caves) and Khandgiri (15 caves). Next visit will be to one of the oldest Kalinga styled temple complex ‘Lingaraj’ made of sandstone and laterite. Later, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Bhubaneshwar – Puri
After having breakfast, get ready to leave for next destination Puri by an air-conditioned car. The rote to Puri is dotted by two major attractions ‘Dhauli’ hills and ‘Pipili’ town. The first halt will be at Dhauli hills situated on the banks on Daya River. The majestic hills draw people towards it exhibiting the inscriptions by Emperor Ashoka carved on its rocks. Pipili carved its own niche by being at the top in the run of hosting maximum number of artists skilled in appliqué handicrafts.
After an interesting midway visits get back to car and continue the journey to Puri. You will be dropped at the hotel to enjoy a pleasant stay. Get ready for sightseeing to highly revered ‘Lord Jagannath Temple’. It is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (a form of Lord Vishnu) and is one of the four primary Hindu pilgrimage sites. It reflects Oriya form of architecture with a rimming 20 feet high wall and group of atleast 120 temples inside the temple complex. Then spend a relaxing evening on the rousing white sand beaches of Puri. Subsequently drop at hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Puri - Konark – Puri
They day will begin with transfer from Puri to Konark by an air-conditioned car. Konark is a small town in Odisha famous for the glorious monument named Sun Temple (aka Black Pagoda) dedicated to Sun God. The architecture of the temple is marked by a huge chariot with pair of 12 wheels being pulled by 7 horses. It also has a sanctum enshrined with Sun god. The building is marvelous with serene surroundings and laudable work on the temple walls and ceilings.
Then you will be taken to Chandrabhaga beach, located 3 km to the East of Sun Temple. It is a tranquil beach with soothing environment and great view of the sea and white sand beach. Afterwards, you will be safely directed back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Puri - Bhubaneshwar ; Departure
