Visit the world famous Postojna cave, with its 20km underground system the largest classic Karst cave in the world. It has taken the forces of Mother Nature millions of years to create an intriguing underground system of magnificent caves. You will see the cave from a unique cave train and walk through parts of the cave. Postojna offers world class cave formations together with massive caverns.
You can admire the wonders of the underworld from an organized tour by a special cave train, accompanied by experienced guides. The tour takes 1½ hours. Follow the example of more than 30 million visitors that visited the Postojna cave in the last 175 years. Also explore the mysterious Human Fish, the blind inhabitant of the underworld. The cave has a constant temperature of 8° C throughout the year so dress warm.
About 12km from Postojna, in the middle of the 123m high overhanging cliff, there is the Predjama castle. It’s accessible just from one side and still commands the surrounding countryside offering us a great view. The castle was first mentioned in 13th century and is great example of the nature and human working together.
Just as interesting as the castle is the story of Erazem Predjamski, a real life Robin Hood from the 16th century. His story is closely linked to the castle, the cave behind the castle and the countryside.

Communication before our tour was excellent with clear instructions regarding place and time of pickup. We travelled from Bled together with other passengers from Ljubljana - total of 8 passengers. Despite the heavy traffic conditions our tour guide Tara remained upbeat and friendly during the drive. We went to the caves first and before arriving Tara gave us a brief rundown on the procedure and where to meet at the completion of the tour. The first and last section of the cave tour was by train inside the caves with a walk of 1.5 kilometres in between. The walk was both downhill and uphill and may not suit people with mobility issues. After the caves we were driven to Predjama Castle and once again given good information on what to expect and tips on the best photo spot. The castle is well presented and the audio guide was excellent. There are many stairs to climb to the top of the castle but there is still plenty to see on the lower levels. This still involves stair climbing but the stairs are in good condition and you can move at your own pace. I highly recommend this tour company. The service provided was excellent and our tour guide Tara was very friendly and accommodating.
