About this activity
Wonderfully suited for those with little knowledge about wine, but are keen to learn more, this 6-hour tour will be the perfect day out for you. This tour starts with a pick up from your hotel in Picton, Blenheim, or Havelock between 9:30am-10am.
During the day your tour guide will take you for a ‘vineyard walk and talk’ and answer any questions you have. This tour is presented in a relaxed and informative manner where selective tasting is the order of the day.
The tour includes a stop for lunch (cost not included) with several lunch options available. Throughout the day you will visit 5-6 cellar doors and taste some superb Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Noir as well as some lesser known varieties from the area and the day concludes at the Boutique Chocolate Factory – a perfect ending to a perfect day!

We had a wonderful time on this trip. We were picked up at our front door, enjoyed 6 wineries, great food,and great commentary from our guide Dean. When it was all done, Dean made sure we got back in time to catch our bus to our next destination. He even stopped at our hotel to collect our bags and dropped us off right at the bus station. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day!
we were very pleased with the whole experience. Importantly, it was exactly as described. Our driver-guide, Katrina, was excellent. We loved the small family-owned wineries they chose and the lunch at Giesen was a very good choice. We recommend this tour without hesitation!
This tour was amazing!
Our guide picked us up and took us to six different wineries. Although not all of the stops produced excellent wine, she really did put a lot of thought into the selections to showcase variety of region's wines. She showed a lot of knowledge of New Zealand's wine and the country's culture, and we ended the tour to the local chocolate store. Overall a very pleasant tour.
We absolutely loved our tour with Trisha. She was thoroughly knowledgable and wonderfully personable. The full day tour was perfectly paced and included an impressive array of wineries AND a stop at a chocolate maker! This was a must-do experience for our first trip to New Zealand! Thank you.
