About this activity

Upon departure from the Paddy Pallin Adventure Center in Katoomba at 8:45am, you'll board your vehicle and head to the area where you'll begin the first part of your adventurous day focused on acquiring your abseiling skills. Start with several short practice abseils and then move up to some higher challenges.

After a catered lunch of gourmet sandwiches, test your new skills with a trip through Empress Canyon. The journey takes you deep inside the sandstone cliff where you'll wade, scramble, swim and jump into pools. Complete your canyon journey with a thrilling waterfall abseil down Empress Falls.

In the cooler months (typically May 1st to September 30th), you'll descend Juggler Canyon and explore the lower section of the Blue Mountains' own 'Grand Canyon.' This trip does not involve getting in to water (though you will get wet feet), while descending multiple abseils to reach the end of the canyon.

From the end of the canyon adventure, you'll hike back to the bus and take in some of the most impressive views to be found anywhere in the Blue Mountains along the way. Your approximate return to the Adventure Center is 4:30pm.
