Bayaguana Runners (Juan Dolio-Boca Chica)

Come and enjoy a full day all-inclusive guided tour, in a wonderful cultural adventure in which you will appreciate the simple lifestyle of the friendly Dominican countrymen in their natural surroundings. Ride along the old road San Pedro de Macoris - Santo Domingo, passing through picturesque villages. On this route are the main training camps of Major League Baseball Teams as the Bostons Red Sox, Pittsburghs Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers. Visit the sugar cane fields where you will learn about the history of this industry and try a piece of freshly cut sugarcane. Then visit one of the schools we sponsor to learn about the Dominican school system and continue until reaching the colorful villages to be welcomed into a typical house to sample fresh organic coffee, cocoa and tropical fruits. Then we walk in the streets of the historic town of Bayaguana, stopping at the Shrine of Santo Cristo de Bayaguana, the local market and a craft cigar factory where we will witness the method used by Dominicans to make some of the best cigars in the world. We arrive to "Salto Alto" waterfalls to swim in its cool, clear waters and enjoy the stunning landscapes. We end the day with a tasty typical Dominican lunch at a ranch nearby the waterfalls.
