Candelaria Food Tour in Bogota

3h30
About this activity
The tour begins close to the Gold Museum where visitors can try the corn bread made with a variety of types: sweet or salty and you can also add meat, chicken or both.

Then, walk south to reach the Plaza de Bolivar, where you will taste the almojabanas (a type of bread made with cheese and corn flour) and empanadas.

As you stroll towards the different stops, your local guide will talk about the history, anecdotes and customs that were brought to the Bogota culture and cuisine since the arrival of the Spaniards.

The tour continues near the Botero Museum, where you will taste the oblea (a Colombian desert); and later the buñuelo (fried dough). At the end of our tour you will arrive at a place called Chorro de Quevedo where we will taste the chicha (a fermented or non-fermented beverage usually made from corn) and hot chocolate with cheese.
