Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Hacienda Coloma, Fusagasuga, Cundinamarca Department
In our Bogotá coffee tour experience, you will travel an hour and a half from Bogotá going down the mountains to another state located 1720 meters above sea level. At this altitude, the cold weather of Bogotá changes into a temperate and damp climate, which are optimal conditions for growing coffee. This coffee state is similar in architecture and traditions found at the Colombian coffee axis, where coffee plantations and production sites are still operating.
During your visit, you will tour the orchid gardens, learn about temperate weather vegetation, and enter the heart of a dense coffee crop. There you will understand the way in which fruit trees contribute to the coffee´s aroma. You can collect coffee beans with our own hands, and see both traditional, and industrial processes from the seed to the cup. After, you will have the chance to taste a freshly brewed coffee, which is the result of the whole process you have experienced.
Once you finish, you will have a break and eat a great typical lunch before returning to Bogotá.
Duration: 3 hours

My wife and I had a great time visiting the Coloma coffee plantation. Our guide Juan Carlos met us at our hotel near Parque 93 and then we drove off to the countryside to visit the farm. We stopped on the way to get a cup of aguapanela with cheese from a local dairy absolute must try!. Once we arrived at Coloma we went on a small guided tour during which we learned about the history and processes used to make coffee in the region. The tour ended with a tasting of the plantation's coffee. Overall, it was a great time.
Very fun tour with a fun and knowledgeable guide!
Interesting tour. Worth it
