The reopening of the Nemocon Salt Mine was on January 8, 2005 as Mineralogical Museum. After being closed for 13 years, the phrase: "The heart of Nemocón is again beating from the bowels of the earth for Colombia and the world" was born.

With more than 500 years of history 80 meters underground it has become a new tourist attraction in Colombia; a natural wonder that surprises with its vernacular architecture, material testimony of the traditional underground mining. In its interior you will find its majestic mirrors in brine, the salt waterfall with more than 80 years old, the spring or well of desires, the largest halite found in the world (Roca De Sal - Cristal Cristalina de Sal ), the virgin levitating in the sphere, the city of stalactites, the replica of the Dead Sea in the San Juan well, the replica of the Miner, the largest natural mirror in the world; are some of the scenarios to be discovered.

The meaning of the Nemocón Salt Mine is cultural, historical, scientific, thematic, mining and tourist.

Visiting the mine includes: visit to the natural history museum, circuit inside the mine, safety helmet, visit to the path of the tree of dreams, visit to the Salt Museum, Accompaniment of the permanent Guide. Mine service Sunday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
