About this activity

As the capital of the Emilian gastronomic culture, Bologna is one of the places in the world most devoted to the worship of food and his renowned and elder culture. A journey through shops, artisanal stores, salsamenterie and delis which endure such tradition shall be the opportunity to admire, and know at first hand, then finally to taste the noblest of the foodstuffs, the most appetizing of the recipes, the finest of the preparations. Chocolate and sweets; Parmigiano Reggiano; Parma Ham; Mortadella; fresh and half aged Cheeses; Traditional balsamic Vinnegar; fresh pasta like the famous Tortellini, Tagliatelle and Lasagne; best of the local wines. These are just some of the products we shall know together.

Tour features also sights of the historical center, passing by chocolate shops, narrow alleys of the Middle Market (Mercato di Mezzo), just beside Piazza Maggiore, short breaks in the very old Charcuteries, dairy shops, fishmongers, greengroceries, butcheries, greengrocers till the bakeries and the pasta makers. Places that have been open for generations, sometimes for centuries in this neighborhood. Stops are foreseen in the tour for having tastings of sweet and salty delicacies and of local wines.
