About this activity
You will be picked up at your hotel in Bologna city center by a private driver and after 20 minutes ride you will reach a lovely farmhouse in the countryside. You will be welcomed by an expert 'sfoglina' cook (pasta sheet maker) who will give you an introduction on the history of the handmade pasta and the region's traditional recipes.
With skill and patience and a magic touch the 'sfoglina chef will teach you the secrets of making and rolling out the pasta. As a kind of magic tortellini, tortelloni and tagliatelle will appear. You will be provided with a pasta board, a rolling pin and fresh ingredients and will try yourselves what you’ve been shown.
You will prepare the types of pasta and relating sauces including the delicious 'Ragout' also known as Bolognese sauce. Finally, it will be time to have dinner. A yummy meal based on the fresh made pasta made during the class will be served accompanied by local wine, in the relaxing atmosphere of the farmhouse. Buon appetito! After the class your driver will take you back to your hotel or apartment in Bologna.

Absolutely awesome! A great chance to spend time with one of bologna''s top chefs. Fascinating farmhouse/restaurant setting with very friendly family and staff. Enjoy great conversation with Francesca and also learn how to make fresh tagliatelle, tortelloni and authentic local style ragu. Finally you taste the fruits of your labor! I went on a private tour because the one I signed up for did not happen. But it was an amazing experience. I learned a lot and enjoyed fantastic food and win. Would highly recommend.
