The "Schwarhof" estate is nestled on the gentle slope facing south overlooking the valley that houses Bolzano. This farm was occupied for the first time in 1334 and its wine production, with the reds of S. Giustina, reflects an ancient culture and tradition of wine. Rainer Loacker, in charge of the organic cultivation of the vine since 1979, found here "bread for his teeth", which is to say an interesting challenge. His pioneering work led in time to a restoration of the land, through the use of homeopathic remedies. "The vine can give up chemicals - says Rainer Loacker, founder of Loacker Remedia (company of homeopathic products for the treatment of humans) - and build defense mechanisms naturally. With homeopathic remedies we make the plant resistant to adverse climatic conditions and parasites, and they accompany the vegetative development, from the awakening of the first buds until the maturity of the grapes. This means that in the vineyards of the Loacker estates we have eliminated all use of chemicals. Arnica for example serves to repair the damage caused to the grapes by hail; Aconitum is used against recurrent infections, while Silicea helps to reinforce the structure of the leaves and buds. The aim is to get the maximum possible balance of the vine. "

In the cellar, the philosophy is the same as well: the fermentation takes place spontaneously with natural yeasts.

At the Schwarhof farm, they have always created high quality wines, able to conquer the most demanding consumers. The great dream of Rainer Loacker is to leave a lasting mark, thanks to which, when the time to taste the wine arrives, joy, peace and friendliness may flow. This philosophy, transferred to contingent things, shaped the Schwarhof farm for over 22 years; heart and soul find in this place a special harmony and the ability to produce good things.
