Stop At: Decanter Tours

ITINERARY
10:30 Meet your group and depart for the Medoc wine region. On the way to your first visit your guide will introduce you to the Bordeaux wines, the famous 1855 classification, the" terroir", the grape varieties and how each of these elements can influence the flavour of wine.

11:30 Your first visit is a surprising introduction to wine-making in an unexpected ultra-modern setting at a Cru Bourgeois property in the Haut Medoc appellation.
12:30 Following the visit relax during your delicious picnic in the shade of the great oak tree in the grounds of the property.
2:00 After lunch, visit a Classified Growth Chateau in Margaux followed by a tasting of two red wines and a Bordeaux white wine of the property.
3:15 French aperitif hour - drink and a light snack of red wine, french bread, saucissons (some things don't translate - lunch meats), rillettes and cheeses, on the rooftop overlooking the vines to end the day. There is no better way to end a relaxing day !
4:15 Departure for Bordeaux.
