Throughout the day, you can admire some of the most beautiful chateaus in France as you enjoy three visits to wineries.
This personalized, private wine tour is an excellent shore excursion from Bordeaux. After leaving the port, you’ll travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to one of the most renowned wine regions in the world – Médoc. You will follow the castle road and visit some of the Médoc’s famous wineries.
Your first visit and wine-tasting experience will take place in a classified growth chateau of the Margaux or St Julien. Here, the wine produced is a combination of elegance and class. You will then head for Pauillac, where you will have some free time to enjoy lunch and taste more wine.
Next, you’ll enjoy your second visit and wine-tasting session in a classified growth chateau of the Pauillac or St Estephe. Here, the wines are a little more concentrated, producing a more voluptuous style of wine.

Drive through the countryside and the visit to three wineries outstanding. Would highly recommend for those interested in the Medoc wines.
We booked this tour from Viator. Three of us had a private wine tour of the Médoc region. The Médoc offers some of the best wine-tasting opportunities in the entire country. We visited one winery with our excellent guide, Yugo, Then we had a lunch on our own, followed by a visit to a second winery. Both wineries charge a fee for wine tasting. Then at our request Yugo was able to cancel the third winery and give the three of us a city tour of Bordeaux instead. He was very thoughtful and considerate in modifying the tour to suit our taste. He gave us more than a full day tour and I highly recommend him. Yugo works for Ophorus Tours.
The booking was painless although it did require a phone call. Advanced phone calls to the operator produced a very specialized tour for our group. We were experienced wine drinkers and collectors and the operator provided a very experienced tour guide. He lived and worked in the California wine industry for several years. David had no accent and spoke perfect english. The experience surpassed our wildest expectations.
