For your fist visit you will stop in a futuristic urban winery of the Pessac Leognan appellation. Just on the outskirts of central Bordeaux this property will surely delight. With an ultra-modern design by the famous designer Philippe Starck and the architect Luc Arsene-Henry who built and decorated the new vat room, ageing cellar and reception area the owners created a unique cellar for their prestigious wines. You will taste two of their wines following the visit.

The lunch will take place on the grounds of a Château in a romantic scenery, offering fresh and local products made by the chatelaine (the lady of the chateau). A visit and tasting at this elegant property will be followed by a long relaxed lunch under the shade of the giant trees in the courtyard, (included in the price).

Our next visit is one of the most ancient vine-growing estates in Bordeaux. It has made wine without interruption since the 13thcentury. Built in an understated style, the Château itself is an impressive building dating from the Middle Ages.

In 1786, Thomas Jefferson, the future president of the United States, a gastronome and great wine lover went on a grand tour of France to discover its vineyards and he stopped in at this very property. Thomas Jefferson also left his mark by planting an American pecan tree in the Château park. This tree, over two centuries old, still takes pride of place in the inner courtyard today.
