7 :00pm - Meet up with the chef in Bordeaux at the tramway stop : station les Hangars (line B)
7 :15pm – Your cooking class takes place in the guest house of your French chef, Marie-C. A real gourmet, Marie-C invites you to discover the secrets of Southwestern cuisine.
7 :30pm : Preparation of dishes under the attentive eye of the chef who will guide you in the preparation of an authentic meal.
Starter:
Foie Gras salpicon with apple and gingerbread. A « salpicon » preparation consists of cutting the foie gras in small dice.
Main course:
Duck breast roasted with rustic potatoes cooked traditionally.
Desserts:
Cannelé or millas, pastries from the South West of France
And
Peach (or pear) red wine gazpacho or Fruit Sauternes gazpacho.
8 :30pm : Tasting of your dishes during the dinner that incluses Bordeaux wines. Whether you dine in the authentic but cosy decorated interior or on the terrace, you will no-doubt have an unforgettable diner experience.
10 :00pm: End of the cookery class

Had a lovely time in private home though there were many challenges. Home had no water, chef spoke little English, and we had no idea what the menu was. During cooking of meal we were sent to a bar down the street. Having done many cooking classes I would say you won’t learn much but you’ll enjoy the experience.

I've been whisking wrong my whole life. This is less a formal cooking class and more learn how to make French cuisine in the cook's kitchen, then eat it. Marie-Claude is very gracious and patient but quite exact! and she makes excellent use of time in her recipe selection. It's challenging but not overwhelming and dinner on the 19th century terrace would be something even by itself! Would whisk again, 6/5
