Itinerary
*****While the summit is phenomenal, this is a beginner climb.*****Climb in the South Flatirons, accessed from Eldorado Springs. A beautiful 1.5 hour hike will take us deep into Boulder County Mountain Parks. After locating and approaching the Maiden's northwestern edge, we will rack up for our climb. We will ascend the rock in 5 pitches, ascending wildly steep terrain while maintaining a difficulty of only 5.6. On the summit pinnacle, we will perch precariously on a platform no bigger than a desk. After a snack and summit photos, we will prepare for a dramatic free hanging rappel back to the ground. This is easily one of the best climbs of its grade and length anywhere in the world. The stunning formation, excellent stone, and improbable summit spire make this climb a must do for all Colorado climbers.
