About this activity
Enjoy a ride in an open-air Jeep-drawn tram through the wooded 160-acre homestead. Your local guide will first take you to Old Matt's Cabin where three of the characters from Harold Bell Wright's famous novel, The Shepherd of the Hills, actually lived. This cabin still stands on its original location is on the National Historic Registry.

Next, you will stop at Inspiration Point, the highest point in Southwest Missouri. This is where Mr. Wright camped while writing the book. Inspiration Point has stunning views that extend all the way to the Boston Mountains in Northwest Arkansas. Here, you will drive by the Morgan Community Church which was saved from demolition and relocated here in 1991.
