Silver Dollar City, an 1880s-style theme park in Branson, Missouri, has been internationally awarded for excellence in theme, presentation and operations, including the worldwide Applause Award for excellence, the THEA Award (Themed Entertainment Assoc.) for theming, and the Golden Ticket award as the “Friendliest Park” in the entire theme park industry.

In 2019, Silver Dollar City hosts “The Year of Shows & Festivals! Topline features include a new $1 million, original mega-production show for Summer, Reuben’s Swashbuckling Adventure; and new for Fall, a spectacular evening and nighttime experience, Pumpkin Nights with thousands of glowing pumpkins artfully brought to life throughout the streets of the City, creating the biggest Fall in the park’s nearly 6-decade history. Other large-scale elements include a globally-acclaimed acrobatic French-Canadian lumberjack production show; a slate of evening concerts in the Echo Hollow Amphitheater including Bluegrass Nights in Spring and then, throughout the season, legendary rock, pop and country performers; the new Kid Magic summer show; plus The Festival of Wonder with visually-stunning, globally-inspired production shows.

Silver Dollar City made history in 2018 with Time Traveler, the World’s Fastest, Steepest and Tallest Complete-Circuit Spinning Roller Coaster. The $26 million ride is world-record breaking as the fastest, with a top speed of 50.3 miles per hour; steepest, with a 10-story, 90-dgree vertical drop; tallest, custom-designed for mountainous terrain with its tallest point at 100 feet;

Silver Dollar City began as a re-creation of the mining town that once stood at the mouth of Marvel Cave, which lies under the park, and has been one of the state’s leading attractions for more than five decades, now encompassing more than 100 acres and drawing about two million visitors each year. It is the original property of Herschend Family Entertainment, the nation’s largest family-owned theme park corporation.

Ten festivals and events offer a variety of entertainment and activities throughout the year, from Festival of Wonder in the spring to the acclaimed An Old Time Christmas. Proclaimed by the U.S. Congress as the “Home of American Craftsmanship,” Silver Dollar City showcases America’s heritage crafts with a demonstrating colony of 100 resident craftsmen. The park’s 40-plus rides and attractions include the revolutionary coaster Time Traveler, the groundbreaking wood coaster Outlaw Run, the explosive launch roller coaster PowderKeg, the multi-looping roller coaster WildFire, and the high-flying Giant Swing, plus themed family ride areas such as Fireman’s Landing and The Grand Exposition.

Entertainment is featured in on-park theaters ranging in size from 150 seats to 4,000 seats, and 17 restaurants offer hearty meals and festival specialties.
