About this activity
The tour starts and ends in the Council Square, the heart of historical Brasov.

The walking tour of Brasov includes the followig attractions:

The Council Square

The iconic central square of Brasov is one of the oldest parts of this medieval city. The Council Tower proudly dominates the entire place, a centuries-old monument that had numerous identities along its history: a merchant place, a Town Hall, a prison, a headquarter for the all-powerful Local Council and now the History Museum of Brasov.

The Black Church

The most famous monument of Brasov and the most impressive Gothic-style church in this part of Europe, the Black Church holds numerous records. It has the biggest church bell in Transylvania, the largest collection of Oriental carpets in Europe outside Turkey, a state of the art organ and an overall beauty that easily place it as the must-see landmark in Brasov.

The Weavers' Bastion

Visit to the Weavers’ Bastion, one of the most remarkable and best-preserved fortifications of the city. The small museum organized inside the bastion offers a great chance to find out more about the troubled medieval history of Brasov.

The fortification system

Centuries ago Brasov was one of the most fortified cities in Transylvania. We'll see what remains of the strong fortifications that defended Brasov from invaders hundreds of years ago. We’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the old town.

Old streets and churches

We'll walk on some of the oldest streets of Brasov, including the famous Sforii Street, the narrowest in Romania. Not to mention, we’ll see more of the old religious monuments: a Synagogue, an Orthodox and a Catholic Church.
