About this activity
This guided day hike brings you closer or into the heart of most beautiful mountains of the area

On each mountain there are a few available hiking routes for all levels from easy, medium to difficult hikes. Consider a min. of 4-5h for a day hike extendable to 8-10h choosing private departure on a longer route. Prior to departure, the guide will talk with you about every option and will make appropiate decision for the route to follow

Piatra Craiului National Park - the host of our guaranteed departure day hike. Route starts near Zarnesti and take hikers into the heart of the mountain, giving time for a refreshing tea (soup) at the mountain hut at 1400m. alt. The return path can have an extension hike to reach one peak with great panoramic views. As Piatra Craiului is the mountain with the most challenging marked trails of Romania, there are several alternative unforgetable routes for day hikes available for the private tour, taking you to the highest peak or along the main ridge

Bucegi Natural Park - the moutains look almost unaccessable from all sides. There is a ~1000m almost vertical drop all around the mountain. Once you find your way up, through breathtaking valleys or by use of cablecar from Busteni/Sinaia, and you are now above 2000m, the flat Plateau is the heart of Bucegi Mnt. It offer us easy walking from Cota 2000 to Babele or The Biddies, rock formations carved by the nature. Nearby we take pictures with the well known "Sphynx" and we find out that the inner energy of the mountain is searched by lots of hikers. Optional route can take us to Omu Peak 2505m and Hut located at the highest alitutde in the country

Fagaras Mountain - even if we need a bit longer transfer, for a day hike we usually recommand to access the mountain via the Transfagarasan Highway, taking us to Balea Lake at 2035m high. From the glaciar lake there are a few good options for day hikes around the lake with stunning views, or even a bit along the main ridge with optional detour to a peak over 2500m. On clear day we can spot the Moldoveanu Peak, as roof of Romania at 2544m

Piatra Mare Mnt - at not more than 1h walk we reach the famous "7 ladders" canyon where water "washed" the way through the rocks forming a very narrow canyon. The water still falls besides your shoulder at the third ladder. You can continue the hike to the top of the mountain for panormic views towards the bigger mountains nearby or just take the easy return trail back to the start.

Ciucas Mnt - Starting the hike from a high point, the nearby road passes at 1135m alt. we continue to hike towards the peak along the ridge line. A June hike reveals us slopes full of Rhododendron red flowers giving it the name The Red Mountain. Approaching the peak some rounded conglomerate rock formations are catching our admiration from all sides you look
