Private UNESCO Heritage Day Trip from Brasov

The day starts at 9 am when you will be picked up from your hotel in Brasov, followed by a one hour drive to beautiful Viscri, a traditional Saxon village where you’ll see the first landmark of the trip.

Take the time to discover the village, one of the most authentic in Transylvania, renowned for its traditional looking Saxon houses and the 12th century fortified church part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Walk in the village after the visit at the fortified church.

Around 40 minutes drive to the next landmark, the fortified church of Saschiz.

Built around 300 years later than the fortified church from Viscri, the UNESCO Site from Saschiz is one of the best examples of how the religious and military purposes were combined in a single landmark, a unique architectural phenomenon in this part of Europe.

Around 20 minutes drive to Sighisoara.

Sighisoara is one of the few medieval towns in the world still inhabited. You'll walk on its narrow and colorful streets, visiting Gothic style churches and centuries old towers that were once in the first line against enemy troupes. The walking tour takes place in the Upper Town, included entirely in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Romania.

One hour and a half drive back to Brasov, stopping half way for an evening visit at Rupea Fortress.
