Famous Bojnice castle - one day tour from Bratislava-Vienna

We’ll visit one of the nicest castles in Slovakia, castle in Bojnice.
National Geographic Travel included this castle into TOP 10 European castles.
On the way we'll visit the chateau built in 16th century and located in a small village Oponice; it belonged to Apponyi family, whose descendants stayed there until 1940. They were great diplomats of Austria-Hungary monarchy, and they have established one of the biggest libraries in Central Europe of their era – Bibliotheca Apponiana. You can look forward to delicious cakes and awesome Slovak wines.
After break we’ll continue visit one of the most beautiful Slovak and European castles – Bojnice Castle with its look like from a fairytale.
This castle belongs to the most visited and the most beautiful castles not only in Slovakia.
The most famous noble families owned the castle and the last of them was the family of Pálfi. The part of the tour is a visit of stalactite cave under the castle, reconnected with 26 m deep castle well. More than 700 years old tree, so-called King´s Matej linden of Bojnice, grows in front of the castle gates. The perimeter of this tree is 12 m. Under this tree, King Matej Corvinus organized big feasts and meetings.
International Festival of Ghosts and Spooks in held here regularly by the end of April and beginning of May.
