Linger in Main Square, once the setting of medieval markets, and admire the Old Town Hall, with its 13th-century clock tower. Along the way, see St Michael’s Gate, the last of four original city gates, and the Primatial Palace (Primaciálny Palác), a former bishop’s residence that was the scene of Napoleon’s signing of the Peace of Pressburg in 1805.
