Day 1: Bratislava - Banska Stiavnica - Low Tatras - Spis castle - National Park High Tatras
Pass By: Bratislava Old Town, Bratislava Slovakia
On the first morning, it’s vital that we leave no later than 9 o’clock.
Stop At: Old town area of Banska Stiavnica, Old Town area, Banska Stiavnica 969 01 Slovakia
A two-hour journey takes us to the town of Banská Štiavnica, a UNESCO Heritage site. We’ll take in a tour of this picturesque town, then have a short break. Next, we head through the Low Tatras National Park on our way to eastern Slovakia.

Stop At: Spis Castle, Namestie Majstra Pavla c.40, Zehra 053 04 Slovakia
We’ll visit Spis Castle, one of the largest mediaeval castles in central Europe. This castle is the largest in Slovakia and belongs also to the largest castles in Europe. The oldest writing about the castle is dated on 1120. The castle is listed in the historical heritage of UNESCO. After lunch, we make our way north to the Pieniny National Park, which we share with neighbouring Poland.

Day 2: High Tatras National Park - Orava castle - Malá Fatra National park - Bratislava
Stop At: Tatras National Park, Tatranska Strba 75, Tatranska Lomnica 059 41 Slovakia
We'll take an easy hike around a mountain lake.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Orava Castle, 02741 Oravsky Podsamok, Oravsky Podzamok Slovakia
Next, we’ll drive about an hour to one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia: Oravský hrad, where one of the first ever vampire movies was filmed – Nosferatu (1922).
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Mala Fatra Mountains, Bela Slovakia
After another hour or so, we’ll arrive in Terchová, a lovely village located in the Malá Fatra national park. Then we’ll stop off in a traditional Slovak restaurant to enjoy some of our national delights!
After lunch, we’ll start heading back towards Bratislava, passing two large castles in western Slovakia: Trenčin and Beckov.
Expected arrival back in Bratislava: 6-7 pm.
